AppleJack
A command-line utility for troubleshooting Mac OS X in single user mode, thereby circumventing the need for a separate boot disk or emergency CD. Written in bash. Planning on moving it to C. Latest version: 1.6, released July, 2010.

XJanitor-PL
A tool for transparently and consistently being able to run the maintenance scripts in OS X, even if your computer is not on for 24 hours at a time. Once installed, it requires no input from user to do its magic. Also includes an AppleScript for temporarily suspending maintenance on occasion. Written in Perl and AppleScript. There’s also a preference pane version of XJanitor-PL written in Cocoa.
